- Muddle: In a tall glass, gently muddle the mint leaves with the lime juice and simple syrup. Don’t pulverize the mint—just press to release the oils.
- Add rum: Pour in the Bacardi Limón and stir to combine.
- Add ice: Fill the glass with ice, preferably crushed for that traditional texture.
- Top it off: Add a splash of club soda (2–3 oz or to taste) and gently stir again.
- Garnish: Add a sprig of mint and a wedge of lime. Serve with a straw if desired.
Notes
Additional Tips:
- For deeper flavor: Let the mint, lime, and sugar sit for 2–3 minutes after muddling to let the oils and citrus mingle.
- Make it a pitcher: Multiply the ingredients by 5 and prepare in a large pitcher, adding soda and ice just before serving.
